How to find us - Paddington Recreation Ground (PRG)
From North and East
From end of M1 at Junction 1 with A406 North Circular Road, proceed left alongside
Brent Cross Shopping Centre and take A41 exit. Take A41 south (Finchley Road)
to Swiss Cottage. Follow the one-way system around the cinema, continuing A41
south to St John's Wood. At second lights at Grove End Road (with St John's
Wood Underground station on left) turn right. After 300 yards at junction with
Abbey Road, turn right (by stone memorial) adjacent to Abbey Road EMI Studios.
Go north on Abbey Road. At second lights, go left into Carlton Hill. Cross
A5 Maida Vale at next lights into Carlton Vale. Ground entrance is a further
400 yards on left, immediately before the Carlton Tavern.
From South and West
From M25 Junction 16 with M40, continue M40 to A40 via Acton and White City
(where road becomes A40(M)). Ignore the slip road signposted to Paddington
and proceed to end of fly over on Marylebone Road, go left at second lights
and north up Lisson Grove. Cross the traffic lit junction with St John's Wood
Road and continue north up Abbey Road. Follow directions as above.
A-Z (or equivalent)
PRG is clearly identified on virtually all proprietary street maps of London
Access
Apart from vehicular access (see below) to the Car Park, pedestrian access
to PRG is available at several locations via Grantully Road, Morshead Road,
Randolph Avenue and Carlton Vale.
Parking
Car Parking is available in PRG but on Pay & Display basis (operated by
the Managers of PRG) which also apply to Sundays as well as Saturdays. Please
check the tickets machines carefully and for the time of closure of PRG (usually
dusk). Off-street parking is also generally available in adjacent roads but
again please check local restrictions (which are susceptible to modification
but currently do not apply at weekends). Please remove valuables from sight.
Public Transport
The nearest Underground station is Maida Vale on the Bakerloo Line in Zone
2. The average journey time from Central London (Oxford Circus) is 20 minutes.
Walk northwards from the station along Sutherland Avenue to one of the two
pedestrian accesses to PRG on the left side of the road, travelling north
Changing Rooms
The Changing Rooms at PRG, which are alongside the pitches, will be available
for visiting teams. Special care should be taken of valuables. These facilities
are currently operated for the City of Westminster by Cannons Leisure and not
owned or controlled by the Club.
