Club Day 2011

For those of you who don't already know, Alice England has taken on the role of Social Sec for the club. She has arranged events throughout the season, which you will hear more about soon. The first event of the year is Club Day, which is a great day to meet/catch up with new and old players and generally get to know people in the club.

Please see below a message from Alice, and we hope to see you all there! Ladies and Gents, This a reminder about our annual Club Day on 3 September at Paddington Recreation Ground.

For those that haven't been before, this is a day for the whole club (men and women) to play 6/7 aside friendlies and then enjoy some food and drink (hopefully in the sunshine). As all of the teams are mixed up, it's a great chance for new members to get to know more people in the club and also for everyone to get to know other members of the club that you usually do not play hockey with at the weekends. If you accepted the event on facebook, can you please email Alice confirming that you will definitely attend and specify, if applicable, which HWHC team you currently play for.

Registration will start at 11.30am on Saturday 3 September. Games will start promptly at 12.30pm. All players must register and pay ¬£10 (which will cover match fees and food at the Cafe). Food will be served at the Cafe in Paddington Recreation from 3.00pm until 6.00pm, and drinks will be served at the Carlton.

There will also be a fundraiser which will be quick, simple and require a little bit of hockey skill...it will be ¬£5 to enter and the winner will take a 1/3 of the takings as prize money, the rest of the money raised will go to a very cause, being HWHC (so bring some extra cash for the fundraiser and obviously also for drinks on the day).
