1st XI beat Cannock

The Men's 1s won their first game of the season 4-2 away at Cannock. A fast paced game saw both sides with chances to take the lead early on, with Cannock putting a lot of pressure on the Hampstead defence. However, it took until the 19th minute for the first goal when Stephane Vehrle-Smith scored a penalty corner drag flick. Will Naylor then doubled the lead on 27minutes with a fine individual effort afterCannock had failed to deal with a long ball out of the Hampstead defence. Cannock pulled a goal back on the stroke of half time with a penalty corner goal.

Hampstead won the game in a three minute spell at the start of the second half when Aidie Palmer scored from close range and then Dan Fox hit a backhand shot low past the keeper to make it 4-1. Cannock scored again on 48 minutes from a penalty corner, but inspite of having a lot of possession thereafter they were unable to pull another goal back.

This is the teams very first Premier league victory at Cannock.
