Training

This schedule applies from 1 January 2010 until further notice. All sessions are at Paddington Recreation Ground. All training at HWHC is run by qualified coaches and there is no charge for club members to attend training sessions.

All outdoor sessions are held on the brand new water pitch at Paddington Recreational. For potential new members, please contact the ladies or mens Captain in order to check the current position on training sessions.

Alternatively call in at the clubhouse, the Carlton Tavern in Carlton Vale from where further details and information are availlable. Ground in Maida Vale.

Ladies Training

Outdoor training is every Wednesday evening; meet to warm up from 7.15pm, onto the pitch at 7.30pm prompt. Finish at 9.00pm.

Commencing 1st of August Monday - Ladies 1s, 2s & anyone wanting to try out for these teams Wednesday - Ladies 1s, 2s & anyone wanting to try out for these teams Commencing 15th of August Monday - Ladies 1s - 7s. Please note that the training sessions for the L3s - 7s will mostly be unsupervised.

There will be drills and exercises to work through so please don't let this put you off. Wednesday - Ladies 1s & 2s.

From the 3rd of October Monday - Ladies 3s - 7s Wednesday - Ladies 1s & 2s. Thursday - Ladies 1s. There will be fitness before each Ladies 1s & 2s training session which is open to anyone. 18:55 meet on the track. The stick and ball session will start at 19:30.

Men's Training

All sessions takes place at Paddington Recreation Ground and start at 7.30pm unless otherwise stated below. However it is recommended that individuals arrive earlier so that they can complete their own warm ups to maximise the use of the pitch time.

All training is run by qualified coaches, often with international hockey experience. Men’s 1s and 2s training takes place every Tuesday and Thursday evenings. ‘Lower’ Mens’ training to start again from August 24th 2011.
